Special Education Teacher in Ocean Shores, WA

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in grades 2-5 at a school located in Ocean Shores, WA. This contract position runs from ASAP through June 16, 2026, offering up to 40 hours per week in an onsite setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instructional support to a caseload of approximately 30-35 students with special education needs
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with state and federal guidelines
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure inclusive and effective educational experiences
• Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to meet diverse learning requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with special education regulations
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Valid Special Education certification required
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly grades 2-5
• Ability to manage a mid-sized caseload efficiently
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues
