Special Education Teacher - Boulder, CO

Step into an impactful special education role supporting students with autism in a collaborative and resource-rich environment. This full-time, contract opportunity runs through May 2027 and places you alongside dedicated professionals, including paraeducators, BCBA, SLP, OT/PT, and Psych/SW staff. You’ll lead a classroom of 11 students near Boulder, CO, within a supportive, well-equipped setting.

Desired Qualifications

• Current or in-process Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license required—active status must be verified prior to interview
• At least two years of classroom experience working directly with behaviorally challenged students with autism
• Ability to provide documentation of credentials with your application
• Strong teamwork skills and flexibility to adapt within a dynamic special education team
  
  

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment for learners with diverse abilities
• Collaborate closely with paraeducators and related service providers to ensure holistic, coordinated student support
• Utilize evidence-based behavior management strategies and personalized instructional techniques
• Regularly assess student progress and adjust approaches as necessary
• Engage in ongoing communication with staff and families to support student growth and well-being
