Special Education Teacher | Beaufort, South Carolina

Make a meaningful impact in education by supporting students with diverse needs as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. Enjoy a contract role with a full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week), working onsite from August 3, 2026, through May 28, 2027. There are two available roles—one focusing on Elementary/Early Childhood and the other in a High School, Multi-Categorical setting. Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for South Carolina, or eligibility to obtain it by start date
• Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and data-driven instructional practices
• Experience with diverse learning needs, including multi-categorical settings (preferred for high school position)
• Effective communication skills with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to ensure academic, social, and emotional success for all learners
• Professionalism, organization, and dedication to positive student outcomes

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Foster a supportive classroom environment promoting student independence
