Special Ed Teacher | Fort Worth, Texas

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This position offers an opportunity to work as a Special Education Teacher within a K-12 school setting located in Fort Worth, TX. The role involves providing specialized instruction and support to Life Skills students and managing a self-contained behavior classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct and support 6 Life Skills students in grades K-5 and 1 self-contained behavior student in 1st grade.
• Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Attend and actively participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, contributing to student assessments and educational planning.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to create an inclusive and effective learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Department of Education (TDE) Special Education endorsement is required.
• Experience with ARD meetings, including comfort and ability to contribute effectively.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work within a structured daily schedule from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
