An educational opportunity is available for experienced Special Education Teachers to support elementary-level students in an engaging and supportive learning environment. These full-time contract positions focus on providing tailored instruction within self-contained and resource settings for young learners.

• Elementary Self-Contained Special Education Teacher

Duration

• Current School Year contract, with availability from ASAP through June 5, 2026 (emergency days pending)
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Deliver specialized instruction in self-contained and resource classroom settings
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
• Monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies as needed
• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Special Education Teaching License
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in self-contained and resource environments
• Strong understanding of special education laws, current practices, and instructional methodologies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
  
  

Work Schedule

• Approximately 32.5 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
• Full-time contract for the school year term
