- Valid state teaching certification for Special Education, meeting all current regulatory requirements
- Experience in K-12 special education settings preferred
- Comfort with adapting instruction and developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with families, colleagues, and support staff
- Demonstrated knowledge of current best practices in special education
- Commitment to maintaining an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
- Ability to work exclusively in person throughout the assignment
- Plan, implement, and adjust individualized instructional programs for students with diverse abilities
- Develop and monitor IEPs, ensuring all educational requirements are met
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records as required by state and district guidelines
