Social Worker | Peyton, Colorado

An opportunity is available for a dedicated Social Worker or Counselor to support the needs of a K-8 charter school serving approximately 600 students in Peyton, CO. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and involves working alongside the school psychologist to provide crucial social-emotional support primarily focused on overflow cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist school psychologist with social-emotional interventions and support for students
• Provide counseling services addressing students social and emotional needs
• Support students with special education needs, including approximately 60 students in the special education program
• Collaborate with staff to ensure a positive, supportive school environment
• Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and maintain documentation as required
  
  

Desired Qualifications And Experience

• Valid licensure or certification as a Social Worker or Counselor in a K-12 educational setting
• Experience working with children and adolescents in social-emotional or counseling roles
• Knowledge of special education services and ability to support students with diverse needs
