Responsibilities
- Provide clear and accurate ASL interpretation for students in grades K through 12.
- Facilitate effective communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their teachers and peers.
- Work with students in different settings, including: Elementary K and 2nd grade (8:40 AM 3:20 PM) High School 12th grade (standard diploma) (7:20 AM 2:05 PM) Potential High School 10th grade (modified diploma) (7:20 AM 2:05 PM)
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure student success.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
- Certified or experienced as a Sign Language Interpreter.
- VQAS level 3 or EIPA 3.0 certification required.
- Familiarity with K-12 educational environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt interpretation style to various student needs and grade levels.
