School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Port Orchard, Washington

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1 year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) role is available to support elementary students in Port Orchard, Washington, for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year, with the possibility of extending through the summer for compensatory services. This contract position offers an immediate start and provides an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working remotely due to current virtual learning protocols.

Location: Port Orchard, WA

Contract Dates: Immediate start through June 18, 2020 (with potential summer extension)

Work Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Caseload: Approximately 38 elementary students

Responsibilities

• Deliver speech and language therapy services to a caseload of elementary students through remote/virtual learning platforms
• Adapt therapy techniques to effectively engage students in a virtual setting
• Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student progress
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district standards
  
  

Qualifications And Desired Experience

• Valid SLP licensure and certification
• Experience working with elementary-aged students
• Strong technological skills and ability to conduct effective teletherapy sessions
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing learning environments and schedules
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Fingerprinting and drug screening requirements are waived for this position
• The district prefers in-person services but is currently operating remotely; teletherapy experience is highly valued
