School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Fairhope, Alabama

A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support students in grades K-5 at an elementary school in Fairhope, AL. This contract role runs from March 2025 through May 29, 2026, providing 35 hours per week of direct service to young learners within a single school setting. The focus is on delivering comprehensive speech and language therapy to enhance communication skills in an educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students from kindergarten through 5th grade
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational staff to support student progress
• Maintain accurate documentation of services and student progress in accordance with school policies
• Participate in team meetings and professional development as required
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Current Speech Language Pathology license or Educator Certification (one required, not both)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred
• Experience working with elementary-aged students (K-5) in a school setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills adaptable to a school environment
