School Speech Language Pathologist - Long Beach, California

A Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract position in Long Beach, CA, supporting preschool programs and specialized classrooms. This full-time, five-day-per-week role involves working with the Preschool Assessment Team and providing services in Mild Moderate 1-2 Special Day Classes (SDC).

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for preschool students
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address communication disorders
• Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support student progress
• Participate in the Preschool Assessment Team to identify and evaluate student needs
• Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in Mild Moderate 1-2 SDC
  
  

Desired Qualifications

• Valid California Speech-Language Pathology license and credentials for working in schools
• Experience assessing and treating preschool-aged children with communication challenges
• Familiarity with special education settings, especially Mild Moderate 1-2 SDC programs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with multidisciplinary teams
