Key Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license required
- Prior experience in school nursing or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Ability to secure a clear criminal background check and complete a TB risk assessment within 60 days before starting
- Familiarity with mandated reporting responsibilities under California law
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Provide on-site health support, overseeing the daily functions of the health office
- Administer and monitor student medications as directed, maintaining accurate records
- Facilitate state-mandated hearing and vision screenings for specific grade levels and ensure compliance with reporting guidelines
- Respond to illness or injury, manage student care plans, and collaborate with educational teams as needed
- Educate students and staff on health practices, safety measures, and relevant wellness topics
