Qualifications & Credentials
- Master’s or PhD in School Psychology
- Valid Maryland certification or state licensure as a School Psychologist
- Ability to complete all district-specific credentialing and background checks, including those required by House Bill 486 (background check, fingerprinting, employment history review)
- Readiness to participate in a prescreen interview to ensure the right fit for the district and the role
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret data to guide student support plans
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to develop intervention strategies
- Support students across various grade levels (caseload and schools assigned TBD)
- Promote safe, inclusive learning environments through crisis management and preventive programs
- Provide counseling, consultation, and recommendations for students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
