Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract position offers the chance to collaborate with educators and families to foster student development and independence during the Extended School Year (ESY) program.

Your expertise in school-based occupational therapy will be central to helping students achieve their goals. You’ll be working closely with an experienced team, including Amanda Taylor, ensuring continuity of care and optimal outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid Occupational Therapy license in North Carolina
• Prior experience in school settings or pediatric therapy preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt intervention plans based on individual needs

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs) during the ESY program
• Assess student needs, set goals, and monitor progress regularly
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive support
• Provide direct and consultative therapy sessions as indicated by student needs
• Document treatment services and maintain records in compliance with school and legal requirements
• Support students in developing motor, sensory, and adaptive skills necessary for daily participation in school activities
