Key Qualifications & Experience
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of New Mexico (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in school settings preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to student success across diverse populations
- Assess students’ functional abilities and develop targeted intervention strategies
- Implement individualized and group therapy plans to support academic access, fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and behavior management
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate, timely records as required by district and state standards
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to facilitate carryover of strategies within classroom and home environments
- Monitor and document progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to promote optimal outcomes
- Serve as a trusted resource, providing guidance on adaptive equipment and classroom modifications when needed
