Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in social work from an accredited institution
- Current, valid licensure as a school social worker
- Prior experience providing social work services in a school setting
- Knowledge of child development, crisis intervention, and behavioral management strategies
- Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and families
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans
- Provide counseling services, both one-on-one and in group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and outside agencies to ensure comprehensive support for each student
- Participate in IEP meetings and help develop strategies for students with special needs
- Serve as a resource for staff regarding best practices for classroom management and student engagement
- Facilitate communication between school and home to support student well-being
