Qualifications & Experience

• Master’s degree in social work from an accredited institution
• Current, valid licensure as a school social worker
• Prior experience providing social work services in a school setting
• Knowledge of child development, crisis intervention, and behavioral management strategies
• Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and families
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to identify students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans
• Provide counseling services, both one-on-one and in group settings
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and outside agencies to ensure comprehensive support for each student
• Participate in IEP meetings and help develop strategies for students with special needs
• Serve as a resource for staff regarding best practices for classroom management and student engagement
• Facilitate communication between school and home to support student well-being
