Qualifications & Experience:
- Active and current RN license required (RN Renewal Only for the 26-27 school year).
- Previous experience in a school environment strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of best practices in pediatric and adolescent care.
- Capable of providing emergency response and managing chronic conditions.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Compassionate, approachable, and adaptable in a changing environment.
- Familiarity with relevant documentation, confidentiality standards, and care planning.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to students, including administering medication, monitoring chronic illnesses, and responding to health emergencies.
- Conduct health screenings, maintain student health records, and assist with immunization compliance.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and families to coordinate care plans supporting student health needs.
- Promote health education initiatives for students and staff.
- Provide guidance and support in cases of infectious disease outbreaks and other public health matters.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal health regulations.
