You'll care for a caseload of 659 students across two high schools and one elementary school, playing an integral role in supporting student health, safety, and wellness.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Previous experience in a school nursing or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Comfortable supervising health aides
- Ability to effectively collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams
- Reliable transportation for travel between multiple school sites
- Commitment to supporting diverse student populations, including those with special needs
Essential responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care and health oversight for students at multiple school locations
- Supervise three health aides and provide mentorship as needed
- Serve as a member of crisis response and Special Education teams
- Perform health assessments, medication administration, and manage care plans
- Participate in student health education and consultation to staff and families
- Maintain timely and thorough health records in compliance with school and state guidelines
Role details:
- Contract position ending May 27, 2027
- Schedule: 37.5 hours per week; 7.5 hours per day
- School day begins at 7:30 AM (elementary) and 8:00 AM (secondary), ending at 4:00 PM
