Responsibilities
- Dispense and manage specialty pharmaceuticals, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare providers and patients to facilitate drug approval processes.
- Assist patients in navigating payment options, grants, rebates, and other financial assistance programs.
- Provide clinical expertise and patient counseling specific to specialty medications and rare disease states.
- Utilize McKesson Enterprise (ERx) system for prescription management and documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of specialty pharmacy regulations and best practices.
- Active and clear Arizona pharmacy license in good standing.
- Proven experience working specifically in a designated specialty pharmacy environment.
- Demonstrated expertise with specialty retail and/or specialty mail-order pharmacy operations.
- Familiarity with rare and orphan disease medications and associated patient support programs.
- Strong clinical skills combined with effective communication and patient advocacy.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday during day shifts.
