Registered Nurse IR - Hayward, CA

A Registered Nurse with expertise in Interventional Radiology is needed to deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic clinical setting. This role involves administering patient medications and treatments safely and compassionately, while collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary care team to achieve optimal outcomes. The position requires hands-on skills such as starting IVs, managing vasoactive drips, moderate sedation, ventilator management for high-acuity ICU patients, and assisting anesthesia during procedures for both adults and pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care, administer medications, and perform treatments per nursing standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify and pursue desired patient outcomes.
• Execute clinical tasks including IV insertion, port access, sedation, management of drips and ventilators.
• Continuously assess patient needs and adapt nursing plans accordingly.
• Adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols.
• Accurately document procedures and patient information promptly.
• Support efficient room turnover alongside multidisciplinary teams.
  
  

Qualifications

• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Experience in Interventional Radiology nursing preferred; ICU or Emergency Department experience considered.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  
  

Schedule

• Day shift, 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts (08:00 - 18:30).
• No weekend shifts required; some weekend and weeknight on-call duties possible.
