Pharmacy Technician in Nashville, TN

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1 years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An infusion pharmacy is seeking a skilled IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract with the potential for contract-to-hire based on performance. This position requires someone with prior IV experience to work closely under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, supporting the preparation and dispensing of intravenous medications in compliance with established standards and regulations.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare IV medications and fill prescriptions under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
• Assist Pharmacists with final accuracy checks, packaging, and timely delivery of medications
• Collaborate with Billing Supervisor to enter prescription data and facilitate reimbursement processing
• Support inventory management by receiving, rotating, and labeling medications and supplies, including lot numbers and expiration dates
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by checking equipment calibration, safety, and cleanliness
  
  

Desired Qualifications/Experience

• Current Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license required
• Prior IV preparation experience essential
• National certification is preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow regulatory standards
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
