Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC), ensuring compliance and operational excellence
- Lead the inpatient pharmacy team of 4.5 pharmacist FTEs and 6 technician FTEs
- Develop schedules for pharmacists and technicians to optimize coverage
- Collaborate with the Buyer to resolve medication supply chain challenges
- Oversee the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, including agenda creation, meeting facilitation, and implementation of initiatives
- Participate in three medical staff committees and COPD readmissions reduction meetings monthly
- Conduct monthly department meetings and daily weekday huddles
- Manage controlled substances orders twice weekly in compliance with regulations
- Administer payroll and Pyxis user access management
- Provide resource support to pharmacy staff during business hours without on-call responsibilities
- Potentially engage in sterile compounding as needed during staff absences
- Licensed Pharmacist in Missouri with active Medication Therapy Services certification
- Experience in inpatient pharmacy operations
- Familiarity with Meditech Expanse order entry system preferred, particularly drug dictionary management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple specialty service areas including orthopedics, oncology, cardiology, neurology, and behavioral health
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Includes two-week onsite training before coverage begins
- Business casual or scrubs of any color or print
