Pharmacist | Blair, Wisconsin

This opportunity offers the chance to provide essential pharmacy services in a 25-bed critical access hospital setting, supporting ER, Labor & Delivery, and Medical-Surgical units. The patient volume is manageable with an average daily census of 10-12, and minimal to no oncology cases, allowing focus on a broad range of acute care pharmacy practices.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately in compliance with hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams in ER, L&D, and medical-surgical areas to optimize medication therapy.
• Utilize Cerner EMR and Pyxis systems to manage medication orders and inventory.
• Monitor patient medication regimens and provide clinical recommendations as needed.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and safety standards in all pharmacy operations.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid pharmacist license; ACT 10 license holders are welcome to apply.
• Experience working in acute care or hospital pharmacy settings, ideally within critical access hospitals.
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR and Pyxis automated dispensing systems.
• Strong clinical and communication skills to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule/Hours:

• 7 days on, 7 days off rotation.
• Monday through Friday: 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Saturday and Sunday: 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM

Location: Blair, Wisconsin

This contract assignment spans approximately 13 weeks or longer, starting early July with the first coverage rotation initiating on July 6th. Flexibility to start slightly ahead of schedule is preferred.
