Per Diem Pharmacy Technician in Newark, NJ

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1 years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A retail pharmacy technician opportunity is available in Newark, New Jersey, offering flexible per diem work with scheduled shifts in May and June. This role focuses on supporting prescription processing and customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately enter patient information and prescription orders into the pharmacy system.
• Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications following all safety protocols.
• Monitor and manage over-the-counter (OTC) inventory to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and addressing customer needs and concerns.
• Communicate with third-party prescription plans to resolve adjudication issues and ensure smooth prescription processing.
  
  

Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Active and clear pharmacy technician license in New Jersey is required.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred to enhance communication with diverse customers.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling prescription data.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under supervision and as part of a healthcare team.

• Location: Newark, New Jersey
• Shifts: 1st shift, Monday through Friday
• Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Assignment Dates: May 18th, May 22nd, May 27th-29th, June 1st-5th
