Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Dearborn, MI

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in a school setting in Dearborn, MI, serving students ages 3-7. This position involves working with a diverse early childhood caseload, including new child find evaluations for children ages 3-5, and providing services for Early Childhood Special Education, an ASD classroom for kindergarten and first grade, and cross-categorical classes for kindergarten through second grade.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct new child find evaluations for children ages 3-5 to identify speech and language needs.
• Provide individualized speech-language therapy services to students within Early Childhood Special Education, ASD, and K-2 cross-categorical classrooms.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective therapy plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation, assessment reports, and progress notes.
• Support the communication development of students with speech and language disorders, ensuring they meet their educational goals.
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through ASHA or eligibility.
• Pediatric SLP experience, preferably in a school setting.
• Familiarity with Early Childhood Special Education and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) classrooms.
• Experience conducting child find evaluations and working with early childhood populations.
• Strong knowledge of teletherapy techniques is a plus but not required.
• Current licensure to practice as an SLP in Michigan.
