A dynamic opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support K-12 students in an educational setting based in Wetumpka, AL. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY) and is ideal for professionals dedicated to fostering communication development in children and adolescents.

Qualifications

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathology License or Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) for SLPs.
  • Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, preferably within school or healthcare environments.
  • CFY completion or eligibility is preferred for clinical fellows.
  • Background working with diverse K-12 populations.
  • For SLPA candidates, certification and prior school-based experience are required.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to work effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students across K-12 grade levels.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers to support student success.
  • Maintain accurate records and progress reports in compliance with regulatory and school policies.
  • Participate in student IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations.
