Schedule/Hours
- Night shifts
- 36 guaranteed weekly hours, with option for 48/week based on preference
- Every other weekend required (Saturday & Sunday), unless otherwise approved
- 13 to 26-week contract duration
- Up to 5 days off per 13 weeks can be automatically approved
- At least one major winter holiday shift anticipated
- Active RN license
- 1 year of RN-Stepdown or Cardiac Intermediate experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Recent EPIC experience is a must
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-player mentality
- Ability to float within scope as needed
- Flu vaccination required November 1-April 1 (exceptions require facility approval)
- Black scrubs required
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care—including assessment, development, and modification of care plans for cardiac, lung, vascular, sepsis, pneumonia, and oncology patients
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient status to multidisciplinary teams
- Coordinate and implement interventions, including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and emergency response
- Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, and self-care strategies
- Adhere to infection control, medication handling, and safety regulations
- Chart accurately and confidentially in EPIC EMR
- Foster a culture of safety and patient advocacy
- Collaborate with providers and support personnel to ensure continuity of care
