An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse to work in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at a Level I Trauma Acute Care Hospital in Taylorville, IL. This contract position offers a mid shift schedule with hours from 10:45 AM to 11:15 PM. The facility supports a robust patient census and a dynamic care environment suitable for nurses with strong critical care skills and acute patient management experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional post-anesthesia care to surgical patients, ensuring safety and comfort during recovery.
• Monitor patients vital signs and overall condition, responding promptly to changes.
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesiology teams to deliver high-quality care.
• Utilize Cerner electronic health records for accurate patient documentation.

Qualifications And Experience

• Active Registered Nurse license in Illinois.
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience; previous PACU experience highly preferred.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Ability to work effectively in a Level I trauma center environment.
• Compliance with on-call and scheduling requirements.
