Occupational Therapist School Setting - Tacoma, WA

A full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) opportunity is available in Tumwater, WA, serving a K-12 school setting from January 5, 2026, through June 2026. This contract role offers a chance to provide specialized therapeutic support within an educational environment focused on fostering student development and success. Working 37.5 hours per week, the therapist will collaborate with educators and support staff to enhance student well-being and functional independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to identify student needs related to motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans that align with educational goals.
• Work closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students therapeutic and academic progress.
• Document and track student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
• Provide direct OT services to students in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid state license as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience working with school-aged children, preferably within K-12 educational settings.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric therapy techniques and school-based intervention models.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage caseload effectively and maintain accurate documentation.
• COTA support is not applicable for this position.
