Occupational Therapist School Setting - Irvine, CA

An opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist to support students with mild to severe multiple disabilities in a K-12 school district located in Irvine, CA. This contract position will serve a diverse caseload of students aged 3-22 with various needs, providing comprehensive assessment and intervention services throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer standardized assessments, including BOT-3 (Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency, Third Edition) and Peabody Developmental Motor Scales, to evaluate and support students with multiple disabilities.
• Develop individualized therapy plans and make data-driven recommendations tailored to each students goals and needs.
• Travel as an itinerant therapist to multiple school sites to deliver services; schedule flexibility is required to meet district demands.
• Manage a fluctuating caseload with no cap on the number of students requiring assessment, therapy, or consultation.
• Provide direct therapy interventions independently, leveraging prior school-based or extensive clinical experience.
• Collaborate with parents and educators by effectively using assessment data to address concerns and advocate for appropriate services.

• Experience working with children and young adults with a range of disabilities from mild to severe.
• Proficient in administering BOT-3 and Peabody assessments.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to create and manage an itinerant caseload independently.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families and educational teams.

Work Schedule and Location:

• Full-time position with hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM during the school year.
