An opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist to support students with mild to severe multiple disabilities in a K-12 school district located in Irvine, CA. Key Responsibilities
- Administer standardized assessments, including BOT-3 (Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency, Third Edition) and Peabody Developmental Motor Scales, to evaluate and support students with multiple disabilities.
- Develop individualized therapy plans and make data-driven recommendations tailored to each students goals and needs.
- Travel as an itinerant therapist to multiple school sites to deliver services; schedule flexibility is required to meet district demands.
- Manage a fluctuating caseload with no cap on the number of students requiring assessment, therapy, or consultation.
- Provide direct therapy interventions independently, leveraging prior school-based or extensive clinical experience.
- Collaborate with parents and educators by effectively using assessment data to address concerns and advocate for appropriate services.
- Experience working with children and young adults with a range of disabilities from mild to severe.
- Proficient in administering BOT-3 and Peabody assessments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to create and manage an itinerant caseload independently.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families and educational teams.
- School-based occupational therapy or related clinical experience preferred.
- Full-time position with hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM during the school year.
- Position based in Irvine, CA, requiring travel to multiple school sites within the district.
