Occupational Therapist School Setting in Rio Rancho, NM

This position offers an opportunity to provide occupational therapy services within a K-12 school setting in Rio Rancho, NM. The assignment is a full semester contract, with on-site work at one middle school and two elementary schools. The role involves supporting an estimated caseload of 35-40 students, focusing on elementary and middle school levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy interventions tailored for elementary and middle school students
• Collaborate with school staff and families to support student development and participation
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports according to school guidelines
• Participate in team meetings and support multidisciplinary strategies for student success
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Valid New Mexico Resident Licensed Driver (RLD) license or ability to obtain
• New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) license or ability to obtain
• Experience working in school-based occupational therapy is preferred
• Ability to manage a caseload of 35-40 students effectively
• Commitment to on-site work; virtual support is not available for this position
