Occupational Therapist School Setting in Henrietta, NY

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications/Desired Experience

• Valid Occupational Therapy license in New York State
• Previous experience in school, pediatric, or healthcare OT settings
• Strong understanding of IEP process and documentation
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to develop and implement therapeutic interventions in a school environment
• Adaptability, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with children and young adults
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ needs
• Develop individualized treatment plans and provide direct occupational therapy services
• Monitor student progress and maintain up-to-date documentation
• Work closely with teachers, families, and related service professionals
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and recommendations for students
• Support students in developing motor skills, self-care abilities, and academic participation
• Promote inclusion and accessibility within the school community
