Occupational Therapist School Setting in Gig Harbor, WA

An opportunity is available for a full-time Occupational Therapist to support K-12 students within a school setting in the Gig Harbor, WA area. This contract position is ideal for professionals with experience in pediatric occupational therapy who are passionate about enhancing the educational experience and developmental progress of students.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to develop individualized treatment plans that address each students specific needs.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including hands-on interventions and adaptive strategies, to support sensory processing, fine motor skills, and functional participation in the school environment.
• Document progress and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations governing special education and therapy services.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to goal setting and program planning.
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Licensed Occupational Therapist with relevant credentials for school-based therapy.
• Demonstrated expertise in pediatric OT within educational settings.
• Familiarity with teletherapy and home health occupational therapy modalities is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
