This role offers an exciting opportunity for certified Pharmacy Technicians to contribute in a fast-paced retail pharmacy setting. The position requires hands-on experience processing and filling prescriptions, managing inventory, handling insurance claims, and assisting with packaging and shipping medications. Candidates should be tech-savvy, comfortable with Microsoft Office, and adept at making phone calls to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process prescriptions, manage insurance adjudications, and resolve claim rejections
- Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification
- Perform data entry and handle prescription-related paperwork
- Communicate with patients and prescribers to ensure service excellence
- Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, restocking, and expiration checks
- Assist with medication returns, quarantines, and destruction procedures
- Cross-train across various pharmacy functions to support departmental needs
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required
- PTCB certification and current FL pharmacy technician license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years pharmacy technician experience with a preference for retail background
- Familiarity with call center operations is a plus
- Excellent multitasking, organizational, and time management skills
- Strong communication skills for interaction with patients, providers, and internal teams
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Contract Details:
- Temporary contract position, duration approximately 13 weeks
- Start date ASAP or within 1.5-2 weeks after offer clearance
