An experienced Pharmacist is needed for a 13-week contract position in Warner Robins, GA, offering a dynamic and engaging work environment within long-term care pharmacy services. The role requires flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, and focuses on providing exceptional pharmaceutical care while ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards.

Responsibilities Include

• Accepting and dispensing prescription medications accurately.
• Monitoring patient medication adherence and identifying over-usage patterns.
• Ensuring all medications dispensed comply with legal regulations.
• Maintaining confidential and accurate patient records.
• Advising patients on medication use, possible side effects, and drug interactions.
• Providing patient education on medical devices and health services such as smoking cessation and blood pressure management.
• Compounding medications and preparing sterile solutions according to standard procedures.
• Supervising pharmacy support staff including technicians and clerks.
• Managing inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to resolve drug-related issues.
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid Minnesota pharmacist license (must have license in hand).
• Willingness to train retail pharmacists.
• Experience in long-term care and retail pharmacy settings preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
