- Accepting and dispensing prescription medications accurately.
- Monitoring patient medication adherence and identifying over-usage patterns.
- Ensuring all medications dispensed comply with legal regulations.
- Maintaining confidential and accurate patient records.
- Advising patients on medication use, possible side effects, and drug interactions.
- Providing patient education on medical devices and health services such as smoking cessation and blood pressure management.
- Compounding medications and preparing sterile solutions according to standard procedures.
- Supervising pharmacy support staff including technicians and clerks.
- Managing inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to resolve drug-related issues.
- Valid Minnesota pharmacist license (must have license in hand).
- Willingness to train retail pharmacists.
- Experience in long-term care and retail pharmacy settings preferred.
