Interventional Radiology (RN) | Matthews, North Carolina

A registered nurse with expertise in interventional radiology is needed to provide specialized care in a dynamic imaging environment. This role involves pre- and post-procedure nursing for patients undergoing radiology services and stress tests, including continuous monitoring during various imaging modalities such as CT, ultrasound, MRI, and interventional radiology. The patient population is primarily adults, with occasional care for infants and children requiring MRIs under anesthesia.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive pre- and post-procedural nursing care for inpatient and outpatient radiology patients
• Monitor patient status continuously during imaging procedures to ensure safety and comfort
• Assist with stress testing and various imaging modalities, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, and interventional radiology
• Provide specialized care for pediatric patients undergoing MRIs with anesthesia
• Collaborate effectively with radiology and anesthesia teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in weekend rotations (every fifth week) and on-call duties including weeknights and weekends as scheduled
  
  

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure with experience in interventional radiology nursing preferred
• Strong skills in patient monitoring and critical thinking in imaging settings
• Ability to manage adult and pediatric patients requiring anesthesia during imaging
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Flexibility to work ten-hour shifts, four times per week (0700-1730), including weekend and on-call rotations

• 10-hour shifts, four days per week (0700-1730)
• Weekend rotation every fifth week
• Weeknight on-call up to one night per week (1730-0700)
• Weekend on-call every fifth week (Friday through Sunday, 1730-0700)
