Inpatient Staff Pharmacist - Norfolk, Virginia

A 13-week overnight inpatient pharmacist position is available starting Monday, April 20th. The role requires providing medication management and support for hospitalized patients in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Schedule

• Overnight shifts, 2030 0730 Mon Thurs
• Overnight shifts, 1930 0730 Fri Sun
• Work pattern: 7 nights on followed by 7 nights off
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately verify medication orders and ensure timely order entry
• Manage intravenous therapies, pain-controlled analgesia, and antibiotic regimens
• Monitor drug interactions and adjust therapies accordingly
• Support chemotherapy medication preparation and administration (preferred)
• Perform anticoagulant, pharmacokinetic, and renal dosing assessments (preferred)
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for clinical documentation and communication
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Must hold an active Virginia pharmacy license at the time of application
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
• Strong knowledge of IV medications, pain management, and antibiotic protocols
• EPIC EMR experience is mandatory
• Travel pharmacy experience is a plus
