Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Valdosta, GA

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years ER RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Bring your emergency nursing expertise to a dynamic ER setting providing care for a diverse range of patients. This contract role offers the opportunity to work in a unit serving all age groups, treating cases such as DKA, COPD, stroke, chest pain, abdominal pain, and psychiatric emergencies. The department is currently undergoing positive changes to align with best practice and shared governance as they pursue trauma designation.

Schedule & Hours

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week (19:00 – 07:00)
• Every other weekend required (Friday to Sunday)
• No block scheduling
• No call
• Floating to COVID unit possible
  
  

Qualifications & Certifications

• Active Georgia or compact RN license, in hand
• TNCC certification, in hand at submission (required)
• ACLS, BLS, CPI, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER nursing experience
• Proficiency with EPIC charting
• Comfortable with 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratios
• Willingness and confirmed availability to work every other weekend
  
  

Preferred Experience

• Background from a Level I Trauma Center
• Experience with ventilated patients and triage
• Open to first-time travelers, though previous travel experience is preferred
