Educational Interpreter - Grayslake, IL

Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1 year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time, school-based position runs from August 10th, 2026, through May 20th, 2027, with a possible extension to May 27th, 2027, and offers a standard workweek of 35 hours. Two positions are available, offering you the chance to collaborate with talented professionals dedicated to student success. Specific assignments will be discussed in the interview process, allowing you to find the right fit for your expertise and preferences.

Qualifications

• EIPA Score of 3.5 or higher (required for consideration)
• Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in a school setting preferred
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Ability to work onsite; virtual/remote accommodations are not available
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with educational teams

• Provide direct interpreting services for students with hearing disabilities within educational settings
