Schedule & Shift Details:
- 12-hour day shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 hours per week
- On-call expectations: 4–5 weeknight calls and 1–2 weekends per six-week schedule
- Weekend duty is typically limited to call coverage
- Holiday involvement: May be scheduled to work or be on call as part of a fair rotation
- No floating required
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license with current registration
- Minimum one year of recent CVOR nursing experience, including proficiency in circulating cardiac and vascular cases
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Strong ability to communicate within interdisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated critical thinking under pressure
Key Responsibilities:
- Circulate and/or scrub within the Cardiovascular Operating Room
- Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with surgical teams
- Maintain strict adherence to all safety, sterile and infection prevention protocols
- Anticipate surgeon and patient needs during complex procedures
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff
- Document procedures and patient status accurately
