Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert nursing care to post-CABG, post-VAD, and post-cardiac catheterization patients
- Manage advanced hemodynamic monitoring including Swan-Ganz catheters and arterial lines
- Provide ventilator management and critical care support with strong clinical judgment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Accurately document patient data using Meditech electronic health records
- Adhere to unit policies including floating as needed and professional dress code standards
- Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience, preferably CVICU
- Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications
- Strong critical thinking and ability to work in a fast-paced critical care environment
- Exposure to IABP and CRRT therapies
- Experience with Meditech charting and order entry
- 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM7:30 PM or 7:00 PM7:30 AM
- Rotating weekends
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Floating required per unit policy
- Navy scrubs required (tops, pants, and jackets)
- Clean, professional appearance; limited visible tattoos and piercings
- Strict adherence to attendance and badge-in procedures
