An exciting opportunity for experienced CT/PET Technologists is available in Wetumpka, AL, supporting a Level II Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center with 492 beds. This contract position offers a focused schedule of three 12-hour shifts Friday through Sunday, ideal for professionals seeking concentrated weekend hours without the burden of night shifts or on-call obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced CT imaging procedures including biopsies, drainages, trauma scans, angiograms, and stroke perfusion studies.
- Provide quality patient care for both inpatient and outpatient settings, including adult and occasional pediatric cases.
- Utilize GE CT equipment efficiently within a fast-paced radiology department.
- Float within different areas of the radiology department to meet patient and departmental needs.
- Collaborate using Cerner EMR to document and manage patient information accurately.
- Participate in hospital orientation, including hands-on shifts alongside experienced technologists.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- ARRT-CT certification required; State licensing preferred.
- Current BLS certification mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years CT experience preferred; candidates with 1 year strong proficiency considered.
- Proven expertise in biopsy, drainage, trauma, angiography, and stroke perfusion imaging.
- Ability to work independently with a 1:1 patient ratio in a dynamic environment.
Schedule:
- Fridays through Sundays, 12-hour shifts.
- No night shift or mandatory on-call requirements.
- One major and one minor holiday expected per policy, with schedule rotations approximately once per month.
