Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist in Cardiothoracic surgeries such as CABG, AVR, MVR, and mini mitral procedures
- Support Vascular surgeries including fistula creation, transcarotid revascularization, bypasses, and thrombectomy
- Assist in Thoracic cases including VATS, robotic resections, lobectomies, and pericardial windows
- Collaborate with OR assistants, anesthesia teams, and nursing staff to ensure efficient room turnovers and patient positioning
- Utilize EMR (Epic), IV pumps (Alaris), and medication dispensing systems (Omnicell) during procedures
- Complete unit-specific orientation (1 week Main OR; 2 weeks CVOR)
- Respond to on-call requirements approximately 45 weeknight calls and 12 weekend calls per 6-week schedule
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Tech program
- Current BLS certification required; national certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in operating room settings, specifically in Cardiothoracic OR
- Proven experience working with complex surgeries in Orthopedic, Cardiothoracic, Vascular, and related specialties
- Ability to work onsite with a professional, team-oriented attitude
- Shift hours: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
