Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.This opportunity seeks an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Technologist to support a high-volume surgical department in Matthews, NC. The role offers a contract position with primarily 12-hour day shifts, including on-call responsibilities with occasional weeknight and weekend coverage. The facility operates 13 OR rooms plus one procedure room, performing around 45 cases daily, emphasizing cardiothoracic, vascular, and thoracic surgeries.Key Responsibilities:Scrub and assist in a variety of surgical cases including CABG, TAVR, vascular repairs, thoracic procedures, and general surgeries.Collaborate with surgical teams during cases including orthopedics, robotics, urology, and others as needed.Participate in call rotations including weeknight and weekend coverage with a 30-minute response time.Support room turnovers, patient positioning, and equipment setup with assistance from OR support staff.Adhere to all department protocols and safety standards including use of EMR (EPIC) and various medical equipment.Desired Experience & Qualifications:pletion of an accredited Surgical Technologist education program.BLS certification required; national surgical tech certification preferred.Minimum of 2 years OR experience, with strong recent CVOR experience centered on cardiothoracic, vascular, and thoracic cases.Ability to work 12-hour shifts primarily scheduled from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.Willingness to participate in call and holiday rotations.First-time travelers are wele.Location Overview:Matthews, NC, offers a weling munity with convenient access to metropolitan Charlotte.
