A Certified Pharmacy Technician position is available for a retail-focused role in Roanoke, VA, on a 13-week contract with potential for temp-to-hire. - Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Start Date:
- ASAP or approximately 1.5 to 2 weeks after offer clearance
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and fill prescriptions accurately while managing insurance claims and resolving rejections
- Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification
- Manage prescription data entry, paperwork, and communicate effectively with patients and prescribers
- Maintain accurate inventory through daily cycle counts, restocking, and expiration date reviews
- Assist with medication returns, quarantines, and destruction procedures
- Cross-train in various pharmacy functions and support department operations as needed
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations to ensure compliance
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- High School diploma or GED required
- PTCB certification and valid pharmacy technician license in good standing for Virginia
- Minimum of 2 years pharmacy technician experience with a preference for retail and some call center background
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management skills
- Excellent communication abilities for interacting with patients, providers, and internal teams
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable handling phone communications
