Cath Lab (RN) in Orlando, FL

Seeking a Registered Nurse with Cath Lab experience to provide specialized nursing care in a fast-paced cardiac catheterization laboratory setting. This contract opportunity offers hands-on experience in cardiac patient care, including assisting with diagnostic and interventional procedures. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of one year of Cath Lab nursing experience and current certifications in ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and NIH Stroke Scale.

Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab nursing experience
• Active ACLS-AHA and BLS-AHA certifications
• Certification in NIH Stroke Scale preferred
• Ability to float within the Cath Lab and occasional pre/post cath areas
• Comfortable with call responsibility and weekend shifts
  
  

Schedule & Work Hours

• Shift: 6:30 AM 5:00 PM, weekdays plus on-call
• On-Call: Approximately 1416 days per 6-week cycle, including 2 weekends
• Weekend Call responsibilities included
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
  
  

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
• Assist physicians in monitoring patient status and operating Cath Lab equipment
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures
• Collaborate with the cardiovascular care team for optimal patient outcomes
• Respond promptly during on-call periods to emergency situations
