ASL Interpreter | Lawrence, Kansas

A Sign Language Interpreter position is available to support an elementary school student in Lawrence, KS. This contract role spans the current school year with the option to work 3 or 5 days per week during standard school hours from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Some Wednesdays will have early release at 2:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 sign language interpretation services to an elementary student.
• Deliver onsite support preferred; virtual interpretation available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
• Collaborate with educators and staff to facilitate effective communication.
• Adapt interpretation to meet the students learning needs and classroom activities.

• Proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter within an educational setting.
• Ability to work both onsite and remotely as needed.
• Strong understanding of classroom dynamics and educational terminology.
