About Solette
Solette is a modern marketplace that connects local families in New York City with trusted in-home chefs for weekly meal prep, dinner parties, and special occasions. We’re building a chef-friendly platform where you set your own availability, rates, and the types of services you offer.
The Role: In-Home Meal Prep Chef
We’re looking for skilled chefs to partner with families on a recurring or one-time basis to:
- Grocery shop for fresh ingredients (using the Solette credit card).
- Prepare 3–4 family-style meals in the client’s home kitchen (typically 2–3 hours of service time).
- Package and label meals for easy storage and reheating.
- Communicate with clients about dietary preferences, restrictions, or menu ideas.

Who You Are
- An experienced cook or professional chef, ideally with a culinary background or strong portfolio of work cooking for others / with families.
- Comfortable cooking in private home kitchens.
- Knowledgeable about dietary needs (vegetarian, gluten-free, keto, etc.) and family-friendly meal planning.
- Organized, reliable, and personable when working directly with clients.
- ServSafe certified (or equivalent)
- Based in New York City and available for in-home work at least 3 days per week (ideally Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays)
