What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector - 1st shift position at Solesis?
What we are looking for:
The Quality Inspector / Finishing Operator sets up and operates equipment to manufacture and produce textile materials for medical or industrial clients, including scouring, heat setting and calendering.
1st Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:00pm
Hiring Bonus: $1,000 after completion of 6 months
What you will do:
- Manufactures various broad fabrics according to standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Follows applicable work instructions to scour, heat set and calender broad textile products, including, but not limited to, setup and shut down of equipment, batching and threading of products, utilizing DI System for scouring and safe handling procedures.
- Identifies defects – performs visual inspection during processing.
- Records qualitative and quantitative measurements.
- Enters information and uses ERP system to report quantities and time spent on jobs
- Labels and packages product as per customer specifications
- Maintains clean equipment and surrounding area
- Performs and records Finishing equipment PM’s include including broad textile Inspection equipment
- Follows procedure for reworking products.
- Perform tasks in accordance with applicable Work Instructions (WI), Visual Inspection Criteria, SOP’s, and internal specifications
- Completes all associated paperwork & ERP tasks as required.
Who you are:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 0–1-year related experience.
- Must be able to read/comprehend Quality Manual and Standard Operating Procedures, as well as protocols, and other established procedures.
- Basic understanding of GMP and working within regulated industries.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with peers and management.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Intermediate computer skills
- Moderate experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to multi-task change direction with shifting priorities
