About the role:
The Extrusion Production Technician II is responsible for ensuring that the extrusion line runs efficiently resulting in high-quality products. This role is a key contributor to the team's continuous improvement efforts in achieving monthly production metrics and in safety, quality, sustainability, and production costs.
What you will do:
- Perform machine setups, production, and development runs to hit desired product specifications with minimal oversight.
- Aid in the troubleshooting and general maintenance of extrusion equipment.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) when completing daily tasks.
- Use production travelers and other documentation to identify and confirm raw material accuracy prior to starting manufacturing runs.
- Mix, blend, dry, and transfer raw materials per product specifications.
- Comply and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure all quality documentation is completed correctly.
- Perform inspection of final products to ensure that senior extrusion operators are completing operational reviews in a timely manner.
Who you are:
- High school Diploma or equivalent required
- Two (2) to Three (3) years of experience in manufacturing, machine operations or a cleanroom environment
- Knowledge and ability to solve mathematical equations that include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of all units of measure
- Effective communication and collaboration amongst co-workers and cross-functional teams
- Read, interpret, and utilize complex drawings, diagrams, and blueprints
- Proficiency in operating hand tools or power equipment
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
